Our thanks to Rock IT Entertainment
for their donation of still another WRA Dance party.

Saturday August 14th turned out to be Yet-Another-Great-Night-At-Woodcrest. They set up shop in the Ping Pong Pavilion and the members danced the evening away. Is this the best place in Cherry Hill or what?

Candy Bar Bingo
Weather shmeather. Even on an overcast night, Janet O'Neil gathered with a few families for another night of Candy Bingo.

 Thanks for the great turnout!

Friday August 27th was our 4th successful movie night of the season.  Members voted via email and Will Farrell's "Kicking and Screaming" was the winning choice.
The shuffleboard court filled with kids by 8:00 and as ususal, a great time was had by all.

Another year and another successful campout.
Smores, toasted cheese balls (??? !!!)  swimming (and a movie?).
Special appearance by a toasted cheese ball-loving skunk
only made the event more memorable.
See you next year!

WRA CRAB NIGHT WAS THE BEST YET!

Maybe it was the music provided by Rocket Entertainment.

Maybe it was the wondeful crabs provided by Chickie's and Pete's.

Maybe it was the fact that one out of every six adult members of the club gathered as a community for this special occasion

Maybe it was the great job our manager and guards did to serve dinner and then keep us safe as we danced in the pool.

Whatever it was, it was magic and we hope to you there again next year!l

Welcome Managers!
Woodcrest is excited to announce that Mike DiStefano has returned again as our Pool Manager for 2010.  Also, we are pleased to announce the addition of Jules Farkas as our Assistant Manager.  Jules brings several years of experience as manager from his time at Haddontowne Swim Club.  Together, their enthusiasm and work ethic are guiding our staff throughout the season.

Swim Team News
We are pleased to welcome back our swim and dive team staffs this year.  Melissa Young will be back as our Dive Coach for a third season.  Joe Davidson and Vanessa Rosa enter their second season heading the swim team.  We look forward to them building on last year's successes.

WRA's "Adopt-a-Block"

The WRA Membership Committee would rather pay our members than pay for postage for the 2010 marketing campaign.  Here is how Adopt-a-Block works:

1. Volunteer by emailing Marc Raiken (mraiken@f-mcb.com) your name, email, and phone. Send your email TODAY!

2. Marc Raiken (or assistant Leon Roomberg) will drop off the name of your assigned street name and a bundle of flyers for you to deliver.  (Feel free to "draft" spouses and offspring.)

3. Deliver flyers to all the blocks bearing that street name twice in May and once in June.

4. For strolling through the neighborhood, (which is something you should do for your health anyway,) you will be paid a $50 referral fee for every resulting new member.

Serious note:  Don't look at this just as an optional "fun" activity. Look at this as a call for help from the membership committee asking for your involvement.  To help us keep a lid on dues and make this summer a success, THIS is what we need from you.  So please email Marc Raiken at mraiken@f-mcb.com right now.

AND STAY IN SHAPE

TOGETHER, WE PREVENT AN INCREASE IN DUES TO PAY FOR MARKETING

WILL HAVE A FUN SUMMER AT
THE WRA

Attention sticklers for grammar:  We know that technically speaking, you are "adopting all the blocks bearing as street name," but "Adopt-a-Block" just sounds snazzier than "Adopt-a-Street-Name."  So there.
