Come out for a night of socializing, dancing, fine food, great music, and general child-free tom-foolery on the deck and in the water! This year, you can choose from
Or surf and turf
Bring your own beverages, but remember NO GLASS!. This means no glass containers, glass cups, or glass plates are permitted at the WRA. Tickets are required, must be purchased in advance and are strictly limited at 125. (We do this so we can fit in the snackbar in case of rain.) No tickets are sold at the door.
Tickets may be purchased at the WRA front desk starting July
4th. Members
and Guests $30. (Or $38 for "Surf and Turf"
option. No refunds. - Allergic to seafood? Buy a no-food ticket that admits you after 9:00 PM! (After 9:00 PM admission tickets are $5 for members and $10 for guests.) Tickets go on sale July 4th! This is a "rain-or-shine" event. While we can all fit in the snack bar and pavillion, it would be better to spread out even in wet weather. We are looking for women to play on the Woodcrest Women's Softball Team. If you have any experience playing softball and are over 25 years of age, please contact Dawn Stern at 489-9069. Games are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from June 21 through the first week of August.

What an amazing, involved, and caring membership we have. Members have stepped forward and volunteered to deliver flyers to 84% of the streets in Woodcrest. THANKS TO ALL!

Once again, the WRA Membership Committee would rather pay our members than pay for postage for the 2011 marketing campaign. Here is how Adopt-a-Block works:
1. Volunteer by emailing Leon Roomberg (lroomberg@yahoo.com) your name, email, and phone. Send your email TODAY!
2. Leon Roomberg (or an assistant) will drop off the name of your assigned street name and a bundle of flyers for you to deliver. (Feel free to "draft" spouses and offspring.)
3. Deliver flyers to all the blocks bearing that street name twice in May and once in June.
4. For strolling through the neighborhood, (which is something you should do for your health anyway,) you will be paid a $50 referral fee for every resulting new member.
Serious note: Don't look at this just as an optional "fun" activity. Look at this as a call for help from the membership committee asking for your involvement. To help us keep a lid on dues and make this summer a success, THIS is what we need from you. So please email Leon Roomberg (LRoomberg@yahoo.com) right now.

2011 Will Be Our Best Summer Ever!
Dear members,
- WRA board members and other volunteers have worked through the winter to make the best club even better.
- The winter snows have nourished the lawn which promises to be even softer and greener than last year.
- Mike DiStefano and committee are hard at work organizing this season’s staff.
- We have a brand-new snack bar vendor who is looking forward to impressing us with experience gained operating restaurants for many years.
- We continue to pay down the mortgage on the large pool, with our final payoff scheduled for October of 2014.

Last year's membership campaign delivered better-than-anticipated results and this year we want to do even better. We will continue to pay referral fees to members instead of paying for expensive newspaper advertisements. Details will be posted on the web site in April. A WRA brochure has been included with the annual mailing. Please think of giving it to a neighbor whose family could enjoy the WRA along with yours. More brochures can be requested at any time with an email to leon@roomberg.com.
Please send in your dues by the deadline. This is important because your prompt payment is what enables us to schedule staff and budget for maintenance improvements prior to opening day.
